Egy pohár bort kérek.

What would you like?

Hi Nemanja!

Excellent question, as usual.

“Meglátogattam egy barátom.”
“Meglátogattam egy barátomat.”

Both are correct, however please note that I changed the vowel in the last syllable of the second sentence.

When the possessive meets the accusative, Hungarian speakers tend to drop the accusative (in first and second persons singular you can safely do this).

The first example is probably more of a colloquial use, the second would be a written, more formal expression.

Excellent catch!

Miért “Meglátogattam egy barátom.”, és nem “Meglátogattam egy barátomot.”?
(Why “Meglátogattam egy barátom.”, and not “Meglátogattam egy barátomot.”?)

Shouldn’t it be accusative of 1st person singular possesion? This sentence is in the lesson notes, as an example. Please answer in English

Szia Amédéo!

Thanx for your question!

“Két sört kérek!” is the correct sentence, but if you want to be more polite you can say “Két sört legyen szives!”

Szereted a sört?

Szép napot!

Szia ,

How do you ask for 2 beers ?

“Két Sörök kérek” or it still ” két sört kérek” ?

Or maybe it is something else

By the way is it correct to say legyen szivés instead of kerék ?

Szia Robin!

Thank you for pointing this out. It’s fixed now!
kérsz - you would like - formal
kér - he/she would or you would like (formal)

Szia, Just checking if it’s me or you, but on the writing questions it asks for you would like, informal. When I answered kérsz, it says the answer is kér. Kér is what you have in the vocabulary, but in the grammar section,kér is the you formal indefinite. Oy vey! Robin
