Cultural Insight
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Lena: Despite Hungary being part of the European Union, we still use our national currency, called the forint. We use coins in denominations of: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200 and banknotes in denominations of 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10,000, and 20,000. If the number of the price ends in something lower than 5 or between 5 and 10 forints, it's usually rounded accordingly. We used to have 1 and 2 forint coins, but now those are no longer in use.

Eric: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
