Cultural Insight
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Lena: Regarding the word Halló - what we say on the phone first - there is a story about how it was created. Hall means “to hear” in Hungarian and according to the story ó is linked to ő which means “he” or “she.” So if you put these words together, it can mean something like “Does he or she hear us?” It’s kind of like asking if your voice can be heard or not!

Outro

Eric: And that’s all for this lesson and this series. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next series!
Lena: Sziasztok!
