Eric: Here's the informal way to ask 'When are you leaving?' in Hungarian.
Lena: [Normal] Mikor indulsz?
Eric: First is a word meaning 'when'.
Lena: [Normal] mikor [Slow] mikor
Eric: Last is the word meaning 'you leave'.
Lena: [Normal] indulsz [Slow] indulsz
Eric: Note the rising intonation. Listen again to the informal question meaning 'When are you leaving?'.

Eric: Now, imagine you're speaking to a stranger. Here's the formal way to ask, 'When are you leaving?'.

Lena: This is a very simple way to find out when someone is leaving to go somewhere. But be careful, because if you don't add where and you ask a friend who is visiting your house all of sudden, for example, then he or she might think that you want them to leave.
