Eric: Welcome to 3-Minute Hungarian Season 1, Lesson 15 - Where Are You Going? In this lesson, you’ll learn how to ask where someone is going in Hungarian.

Eric: Here's the informal way to ask 'Where are you going?' in Hungarian.
Lena: [Normal] Hova mész?
Eric: First is a word meaning 'where'.
Lena: [Normal] hova [Slow] hova
Eric: Last is the word meaning 'you go'.
Lena: [Normal] mész [Slow] mész
Eric: Note the rising intonation. Listen again to the informal question meaning 'Where are you going?'.
Lena: [Slow] Hova mész? [Normal] Hova mész?
Eric: Now, imagine you're speaking to a stranger. Here's the formal way to ask, 'Where are you going?'.
Lena: [Normal] Hova megy?
Eric: First is a word meaning 'where'.

Eric: Last is the word meaning 'You go' (formal).
