Welcome to Conversational Phrases!
We’ve found that the best way to learn a language is to speak it from day one! And the best way to start speaking is to learn phrases that you’ll use in real conversations.
In this lesson, you’ll learn how to ask the question, "When is your birthday?" After watching this video, you’ll be able to ask and answer about the date of an event.
Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases!

Once more with the English translation.
Mikor van a születésnapod?
“When is your birthday?”
Március negyedikén.
“It's on March 4th.”
First of all you'll need to learn how to say "When is [event]?"
The pattern is: Mikor van [event]?
This Hungarian sentence translates as "When is [event] yours?" But it means “When is [event]?”.
For example:
“When is your birthday?”
Mikor van a születésnapod?, Mikor van a születésnapod?
Now, how do you answer this question?
Március negyedikén.
“It's on March 4th.”
