Very interesting question, It's even hard for a native to say which is better...

Actually, the rule is that if the person (subject) is in singular form (not férfiak or nők), the corresponding verb is always conjugated in singular. However, if you add another person which is also in a singular form (férfi or nő), the verb can be conjugated both in singular and plural form, but the most common is still singular.

Thus, both "Egy férfi és egy nő beszélget." and "Egy férfi és egy nő beszélgetnek." is completely right, with a very slight preference to the first one.

Hi -

In some of the these videos, we are getting different verb usage and it's confusing me.

For instance, in the 6th video, we heard "Egy ferfi es a no beszelget." and then in the 14th we can hear "Egy ferfi es a no beszelgetnek."

Same sentence as far as I can tell, but a different conjugation of the verb.
