John: Slang Used to Express The Act of Lying

John: This is Must-Know Hungarian Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 16. In this lesson, you'll learn slang used to express the act of lying.
John: There are many slang words describing the act of lying or the lie itself. You can learn some of them in this lesson.

John: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:

John: Lena, what's our first expression?
Lena: vetít
John: literally meaning "to screen." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to tell an untrue story with details that cannot be true; to exaggerate."

John: Use this slang expression when you want to express that someone is telling a story that is not true with obviously untrue details.

John: It doesn’t have a literal meaning. But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "lie, untrue story."
