John: This is Must-Know Hungarian Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 3. In this lesson, you'll learn idioms to express being lucky or unlucky.
John: These expressions can be used when you feel lucky or unlucky, or you want to refer to another person with luck or no luck.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
John: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Lena: mákja van
Lena: mázlista
Lena: ezt dobta a gép
Lena: ez van, ezt kell szeretni
John: Lena, what's our first expression?
Lena: mákja van
John: literally meaning "he or she has poppy seeds." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to be lucky."
