Szia Julia!

Köszönjük a hozzászólást! (Thanks for the comment!)

Your sentence is completely correct in Hungarian, well done!

In the following levels, you will learn more detailed vocabulary on payment!

Let me give you the ones you asked for:

bill : számla

cheque : csekk (this is not a common method of payment in Hungary, the word "csekk" is more used for the yellow paper you receive every month to pay your bills, it's like an order of payment at the post office)

credit card : hitelkártya

debit card : bankkártya (more common) or betéti kártya

If you need other vocabulary or explanations, please don't hesitate to send a comment!

Thanks a lot for very helpful lessons! Related to this topics, could you give us some words like bills, cheque, credit card, debit card, ? and is this correct if I say "A kabatom kb 5400 forint"? (My coat costs about 5400 forint). Thank you.

Hi Natasha!

The -ot ending is used, when the noun (forint) is in the object position. This is called the accusative case.

Much like in English where "he" becomes "him" in the object position.

"I love him."

Do you have a sentence where you can't quite figure it out? What would you like to say?

Szia HungarianPod101!!

When should 'forintot' be used and when should 'forint' be used? Sorry, the accents don't work on my laptop!
